This is an educators course that prepares students for entry-level jobs in the field of education and child care. Students are taught skills such as: occupational health and safety; facilitating proper communication in the workplace; knowledge of child developmental stages; early childhood sector policies, procedures and regulations; care for a child's physical needs; ways to support language and cognitive development; ways to supporting nutritional needs; observing, documenting, and interpreting information for children; and performing administrative management functions for early childhood institutions.
CADE (Continuing Adult Deaf Education) offers job training and continuing academic education for Deaf adults age 17 and up.
