Commercial Food Preparation

 

Class Information

This is a Commercial Chef course that prepares students for entry level jobs in the food industry. This course prepares our students with industry level knowledge in areas such as: Facilitating proper communication in the workplace, understanding and facilitating different cultures, knife skills, various cooking methods, managing and cleaning equipment, health and safety practices, preparing meals, pricing meals, menu planning, food presentation, and cake baking and decoration. When training is complete, students are certified as a level 2 Commis Chef.

CADE (Continuing Adult Deaf Education) offers job training and continuing academic education for Deaf adults age 17 and up.
